RSS - (Really Simply Syndication)
If you want to keep up to date with new things going on at Picture Nation, and choose the kind of info you want to hear about, then you can get an RSS feed. We will then send you the info you've told us you want to hear about as it comes in.
RSS allows your computer to fetch and understand the information, so that the things you are particularly interested in can be tracked and personalized for you. RSS feeds can also be read on PDAs and mobile phones.
At the moment we are offering an RSS feed of the last 20 pictures to go live on the site
. If you see an image you like, you can click on that image and it will take you to the details page for you to save to your holding area or to purchase.
How do I get RSS?
The first thing you need is something called a feed reader. This is a piece of software that checks RSS feeds and lets you read any new content we've added to them.
There are several different versions, some of which are accessed using a browser, and some of which are downloadable applications.
Browser-based feed readers let you catch up with your RSS feed subscriptions from any computer, whereas downloadable applications let you store them on your main computer, in the same way that you either download your e-mail using Outlook, or keep it on a web-based service like Hotmail.
New versions of news readers are appearing all the time. Different news readers work on different operating systems, so you will need to choose one that will work on your computer.
