Why do some pictures say 'Not Model Released'?If you want to use a picture to help sell a service or product or business, then pictures with identifiable people in them or featuring property have to be 'released' by the model or owner in order for you to use them for commercial purposes. Crowd shots and wide street scenes are usually exceptions to this. If you're not sure about the rights regarding your image end use then you can contact us. Details about what picturenation allows you to do with the pictures are available in the Licence details for your purchase. All PN images can be used for educational / editorial / information / and personal use. How do I pay?Credit, debit card or Paypal. Why can't I download a picture?Have you registered, have you paid, are your details correct? If you've checked all these and still can't download then contact us through the Contact Us/Feedback form. Why can't I download a child image? We have a special policy regarding use of all our child images. We care greatly about protecting the children's images from abuse or mis-use. Even if you have registered and paid for access to images, you will be required to fill in a separate, brief, online form if you want to view and download some of our child images. We want to know why you want the picture and where you're going to use it, before we allow you to download the image. We know that responsible clients will support our child picture policy, and be patient enough to follow our procedure. We reserve the right to refuse permission to download. All our child pictures are cleared for use by the parents/guardians. Do I own the pictures once I've paid for them? No. All the images on picturenation are the copyright of the photographer, unless otherwise stated, and remain the copyright of the photographer after you've paid for them and downloaded them. Can I buy the copyright of a picturenation image? We can discuss it. Contact us. Do you sell CD ROMS of your images? No. Our images are only available digitally online. Why do the images I view have a watermark on them? The watermark is to prevent people downloading an image without payment. Once you have registered and paid for an image, you will be able to download the relevant sized image without a watermark. |
